Gurla Mandata Expedition

Mount Gurla Mandata (Namo Nyani) is the neighboring mountain, which is situated very close by the sacred called the mountain Kailash. It lies in the western side’s Himalayan ranges lying in the Burang part of Tibet. The local people call it the Namo Nani means the "Fairy's Peak" and it is made of with six ridges. The west ridge is like the Fan shaped and East Ridge is with very much steeper cliffs. Towards its North the holy lake Manasarovar and Langatse are situated. Gurla Mandata's base camp is situated on the on the glacier at 5600 meter. Gurla Mandata (Namo Nyani) Mountain was first climbed by Sino-Japanese expedition in 1985. After that only 5 ascent up there have been made till to date to this mountain. Presently according to the recent data, a French expedition team has climbed this mountain.
The way to the ascent goes via Zalonpa glacier from the Northern slope. From the top of the Gurla Mandata, you can see the beautiful sparkling lakes Manasarover and Rakchays (Demond lake); and then the mountain Kailash peak can be seen along with this on its background. The ascent can be started from the Zalunpa glacier.
The famous mount Kailash peak and Manasarovar Lake are on the way to this Gurla Mandata Expedition trip and mostly the Indian Hindu visitors are found thronging to visit these holy places as pilgrimage in a huge number.
Climbing Sherpa for Himalayan:
We facilitate highly professional, expert well trained and qualified climbing Sherpas for expeditions. Many climbers avoid Sherpa guides for the climbing, so because of this, they have been found to facing many hindrances on their way. If you take Sherpas along with you on the expedition, they are very useful in your each and every step of support, which makes your climbing easier to restore your strained energy; and it gives you vigorous strength for your next day’s climbing. Most of the groups, who have gone with the Sherpa guides on the expedition, is found to be succeeded as per our past experiences. So we suggest you to operate your expeditions along with the Sherpa guides.
Expedition Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport, meet our staff then transfer Ho Hotel.
Day 02: Stay in Kathmandu for Tibet visa procedure.
Day 03: Preparation for expedition & trip briefing.
Day 04: Drive to Kodari, enter Zhangmu (2350m). then overnight at Hotel.
Day 05: Drive Zhangmu to Nyalam (3750m). Hotel.
Day 06: Nyalam, rest day and acclimatization. Hotel.
Day 07: Drive and Trek to Lake Paiko Tso. Hotel.
Day 08: Drive Lake Paiko Tso – Saga. Hotel.
Day 09: Drive Saga – Pariyang. Hotel.
Day 10: Drive Pariyang – Darchen. Hotel.
Day 11: Trek to Dhiraphuk Gompa. Tented Camp.
Day 12: Trek over Drolma Pass to Zutulphuk. Tented Camp.
Day 13: Trek to Darche and drive to Mansarovar. Tented Camp.
Day 14: Drive to Gurla Mandata Base Camp. Tented Camp.
Day 15-32: Climbing Period of Gurla Mandata 7728m. Tented Camp.
Day 33: Cleaning up Base Camp. Tented Camp.
Day 34: Drive Chinese Base Camp – Pariyang. Tented Camp.
Day 35: Drive Pariyang – Saga. Tented Camp.
Day 36: Drive Saga – Paiko Tso. Tented Camp.
Day 37: Drive Paiko Tso – Nyalam. Hotel.
Day 38: Drive to Zhangmu, exit, drive back to Kathmandu then transfer to Hotel.
Day 38: Free day in Kathmandu.
Day 40: Last minute, transfer to airport for onward journey.

Climbing Sherpa: Per Sherpa US $ 3400 + summit bonus (if required by climber)
Expedition Cost Includes:
- All land transportation by private vehicle, (Airport /Hotel/Airport & trekking pick up & drop).
- Welcome dinner with Nepali culture programs.
- 5 Nights Hotel Accommodation in Kathmandu with bed & breakfast basis at (3 Star Hotel) Hotel Manang.
- Experience, professional Nepalese expedition crews; Advance Base Camp guide, Cook, Kitchen boys, and mountaineering gears till to the ABC.
- Crew’s equipment charge, daily wages, expedition insurance and other facility will provided by our agency itself.
- Tibet visa & Travel Permit for the expedition crew’s.
- 3 Major meals B/L/D (Full board basis) and Hotel accommodation while on the way to expedition as per programs Zhangmu, Nyalam, Darchen and way back to Nyalam and Zhangmu.
- 3 Major meals B/L/D during your stay in Chinese Base Camp and Advance Base Camp.
- Each person will get one North Face brand Tent and Mattress for Chinese Base Camp and Advance Base Camp.
- We provide Dining Tent, Tables, Chairs, Toilet Tent, Mess Tent, Shower Tent and Kitchen Tent at Chinese Base Camp and Advance Base Camp.
- Per Person 50 KG. Expedition equipment’s luggage or barrels allowed for expedition till to and from Base Camp and Advance Base Camp
- Per Person 40 KG. Expedition equipment’s luggage or barrels is allowed on the way back to Advance Base Camp to Chinese Base Camp. (Expedition equipment’s luggage or barrels carried by Yak).
- Kathmandu/ Zhangmu/ Chinese Base Camp/ Zhangmu/ Kathmandu by tourist Mini Bus/Jeep/ Land Cruiser for members, Nepalese crew’s and Truck for the whole expedition gears.
- Gurla Mandata Expedition permit, Tibet group Visa and Travel Permit.
- Liaison Officer and Interpreter for expedition till Chinese Base Camp.
- Emergency Oxygen, Mask & regulator for Advance Base Camp.
- Satellite Phone (Pay call service till ABC).
- Gammo Bag for the life saving device, incase of altitude sickness for Member during the expedition.
- Expedition T-shirts for each member with expedition label.

Expedition Cost Doesn’t Include:
- Airfare: To & from your country.
- International airport departure tax.
- Nepal entry visa and Re-entry visa fees.
- Personal expedition climbing gears.
- Major meals: Lunch and Dinner during your stay in Kathmandu.
- Personal local transportation in Kathmandu and Tibet except above mentioned programs.
- Personal travel medical and rescue insurance.
- Emergency evacuation: Rescue Jeep US $ 700 to Zhangmu/Nepal border.
- Personal medicines and First-Aid expenses.

- Extra Yak: Per Yak's US $ 100 will be charged for 40 KG. load and US $ 25 for per Tibetan Yak man.
- Garbage Deposit: US $ 300 (sharing with all total of the expedition climbers) and Deposit fee will be not refunded if the climbers don’t take back their garbage to ABC.
